Follow my simple process for moving pigs:
1. Choose a plan that’s pretty unlikely to succeed.
2. Don’t have a backup plan.
3. Keep doing things that aren’t working!
Goal was to move the pigs for better shelter and heat for winter. Previously we have bern able to lure pigs with food when they got out of their electric fence. Sooo why not try that method across the farm. Immediately went sideways. One pig was perfect, followed the food bucket the whole way. Pig #2 tasted freedom and was off for an adventure. Neighbors offered help and had the idea we could just surround the pig with some mobile fence panels and just walk her into her new pen. That was a super easy solution and worked great. Nice to have good neighbors. If I have to do that again it will be that method from the start.
