Congratulations to all of our Brawley Farms riders! We are so proud of the riding, horsemanship, sportsmanship, and teamwork you showed throughout the week. What a wonderful way to wrap up the Oregon Summer Classic! ☀️

Of course, a week like this takes a whole team behind the scenes, and we couldn't finish this post without thanking everyone who helped make it possible.

A huge thank you to Judy Brawley, Head Trainer and Founder of Brawley Farms South, and Debbie Brawley, Head Trainer of Brawley Farms North, for everything you do to prepare, train, and coach our riders both at home and throughout the show. The countless hours spent teaching, developing each horse and rider partnership, preparing for the show ring, and coaching throughout the week are what make results like these possible. More than that, Judy and Debbie are the reason this entire Brawley Farms team is here together. Their years of knowledge, dedication to their riders and horses, and commitment to building these programs have created the team and community we are so proud to be a part of. None of this would be possible without them.

Thank you to Rachel Nicholas, Assistant Trainer at Brawley Farms North, for all of her work preparing our students, assisting with coaching, and getting our ladies ready to enter the show ring. Despite continuing to recover from a knee injury sustained earlier this year that grounded her for this show season, Rachel was there supporting our riders every step of the way.

Thank you to Katherine Vandehey, Assistant Trainer at Brawley Farms North, for schooling our wonderful horses and getting them prepared for their riders so each partnership had the opportunity to go into the ring and succeed.

Thank you to Elia Barlett, Working Student at Brawley Farms North, for working throughout the weekend to make sure our horses and riders were well cared for and had everything they needed.

Thank you to Milla Rindal, Assistant Trainer at Brawley Farms South, for the moral support, always being in our riders' corner, and keeping things running smoothly back home so the show could go on while Mrs. Brawley was away taking care of our riders and horses at the horse show.

Thank you to Edgar for generously volunteering his time and lending a hand with so much of the work that goes into a horse show. From helping us transport the horses and keeping our barn area clean and tidy to taking on plenty of the heavy lifting, his help throughout the week was greatly appreciated. Thank you as well for always being there to support and encourage our riders and horses. We are so grateful to have you as part of the team!

Thank you to Mc Cool Photography for the lovely photos!

A special thank you as well to Team NW Equestrian Sports for putting on such a wonderful event and creating a fantastic week of competition for our riders, horses, trainers, and families to enjoy!

And finally, thank you to the entire Brawley Farms team. Horse showing is never an individual effort. It takes trainers, riders, working students, families, friends, and a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes to create weeks like this. We are incredibly grateful for every person who played a part in making the Oregon Summer Classic such a special and successful week for our riders. 💚💛

Still Searching for Two Special Horses

We've had some wonderful suggestions and have looked at several horses, but we haven't quite found the right matches yet. We're hoping our horse community can help us continue the search.

Brawley Farms is currently looking for two horses for dedicated clients in our hunter/jumper program. Both homes offer consistent training, excellent care, experienced guidance, and a supportive environment focused on long-term success for both horse and rider.

🐴 Hunter/Medal Prospect
• 16.3hh–17.1hh (some flexibility for the right horse)
• Geldings only
• Under 12 years old
• Kind temperament is the top priority
• Green is absolutely fine, but cannot be spooky or overly complicated
• Easy lead changes
• Big step/stride
• Comfortable jumping 3' with scope for more

Budget: Low to mid five figures
Maximum budget: $75k

🐴 Amateur-Friendly Hunter
• 15.2hh–16.1hh (some flexibility for the right horse)
• Geldings only
• Under 14 years old
• Kind, forgiving temperament is the top priority
• No green horses
• Automatic lead changes
• Comfortable, confidence-building ride
• Big stride and easy jump
• Suitable for the 2'6"–2'9" hunters

Budget: Low five figures
Maximum budget: $50k

We're not in a rush and are happy to wait for the right horse. Safe, quality partners with good brains are far more important to us than a flashy sales ad.

If you know of something that might fit, please send videos, price, location, and details via PM.

Thank you to everyone who has shared horses and tagged friends so far. We truly appreciate the help. 💚💛

Our Brawley Farms community is coming together to support someone who has given so much to both our riders and horses over the years.

For those who may not know her, Rachel is Debbie’s assistant trainer and professional rider at Brawley Farms North, and has been part of the Brawley family for many years. She is also our professional rider at horse shows for both Brawley Farms North and South. Rachel has dedicated so much of her life to helping horses and riders grow, and she has been an important part of our barn family for a very long time.

On Monday, April 27th, Rachel was involved in a serious accident and suffered a major fracture to her left tibia. She is facing surgery, an extended recovery, significant medical expenses, and a long period without being able to work normally.

Her family has created a GoFundMe to help support her through surgery, rehabilitation, lost income, and day to day expenses during recovery. If you are able to donate, share, or simply keep Rachel in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean so much to all of us.

Thank you for supporting someone who has always been there for this community and for so many others.

In Loving Memory of Cody

On Friday, May 1st, we said goodbye to our dearly loved lesson horse, Cody.

Cody was a kind, gentle soul who played an important role in our program, especially for riders ready to take the next step in their journey. He had a quiet way of teaching, asking riders to be thoughtful, clear, and present, and in doing so, he helped so many develop confidence, feel, and true understanding.

He brought a calm, steady presence to the barn and was loved by so many who had the privilege of learning from him. Cody leaves behind a lasting impact on our riders and our barn family, and he will be deeply missed.

We are so grateful for the time we had with him.
