A couple of things: 1. Meet Naomi! She is a horticulture sciences major at the University of Florida and is completing a personal (aka-voluntary) internship at the farm this summer! We are so happy to have her joining us 🤩 2. We have some slightly new flower cutting procedures this year. We now have large vases to assist with holding stems upright when cutting. Each vase is lined with plastic which contains a bloom saver water solution. When you finish cutting, you’ll just take your liner full of beautiful blooms and leave the vase! Easy peasy 😃 An arrangement of up to 20 stems is still the same price as last year, $20. 3. Here is the finished product from yesterday’s flower haul! 14 beautiful arrangements are available at ! This is one tired puppy! Teddy’s pretty worn out, too. 😂 Seriously though, the weather was perfect for harvesting my first flower haul of the summer. We currently have four varieties of snapdragons, lisianthus, baby’s breath, lavender, oregano, some bupleurum, sweet Williams & zinnias beginning to pop as well. I love adding fresh herbs to my arrangements because not only does it smell amazing, but once your blooms have faded, you can dry and use the herbs for cooking! These beauties will be heading to tomorrow! Stay tuned to see the finished product 🤩 Come on out to the farm & cut your own flower bouquet anytime from sunup til 7pm for just $20 per cup (~20 stems).

🍧 This year’s shaved ice flavors are: banana, root beer, watermelon, blue raspberry, grape, pina colada, cotton candy, & tiger’s blood. ⏰ Refreshment stand hours are daily from 10-12:30pm. 🌭 All beef hot dogs will be available on Fridays & Saturdays. 🫐 Blueberry picking is available daily from sunup til sundown for $12/half gallon. 💐 Flower cutting is available daily from sunup til 7pm for $20/cupful. 🐮 Animal petting/feeding is available daily from sunup til sundown at no charge. Feed is $1 per bag. 🍉 Farm store is open daily from sunup til sundown.

👅The Taste: Yellow watermelons taste slightly sweeter than red varieties, often with distinct notes of honey or apricot.
🍉Ripeness: You can check for ripeness just like a standard red melon—look for a dull, matte rind and a creamy yellow ground spot (the “belly”) where the melon sat on the ground.
