In 1892 the Thistlethwaite Family moved to Greene County, Pennsylvania and bought the farm located in Morgan Township, Jefferson. Around 1910 they added the Wooden "L" leg to the house and built the stable, where the Winery is located. The Farm is a 208 acre "Century Farm," which means consistent family ownership for 100 years. The Vineyard's 1st acre was planted in 2000. There are over 5 acres o

f grapes enclosed in a high deer-proof fenced in area of 8 acres. We grow Traminette, Vidal Blanc, Vignoles, Seyval, Marechal Foch, Leon Millot, Chambourcin,
Villard Noir, Cabernet Franc and a small amount of Riesling grape varieties. We opened our Tasting Room in February 2008. We grow our own grapes to get the juice for Wine Making-That way we have complete control of the quality from the starting material.
