A swarm forms when thousands of honey bees leave their hive together in search of a new place to live. While it can look alarming at first, swarming bees are usually focused on protecting their queen and finding a safe new home.
Without help from a beekeeper, fewer than 1 in 4 colonies survive. That’s why we’re helping spread the word about Swarmed — a free public resource that connects communities with local beekeepers who can safely relocate honey bee swarms.
