Sugaring season is going to look different for us this year! We will be expecting baby #4 beginning of April. We are usually boiling into mid-April so this is definitely going to be adding a wee bit of adventure towards the end of the season. For those wondering, we are still planning on a Maple Open House (March 21-22), however, for obvious reasons it will be smaller scale.

If the baby comes before the MOH, well, we’ll make a decision then!

We are super excited to meet this little one and enjoy all the baby snuggles. A family of 6 has a nice ring to it!

For lack of any pregnancy pictures really, this is the best I got, haha!

I was craving Baked Brie and had everything I needed to make one. I ate half of it before I realized this needed to be shared. It’s very simple folks!

Wheel of Brie
Jam of your choice (I used Stonewall Kitchen Holiday Jam, but raspberry or fig jam would be excellent as well)
Chopped pecans
Drizzle of Hot Pepper Maple Syrup 🌶️🍁

Score the top of the Brie, add as much jam as you see fit (I probably used 1/3-1/2 cup), chopped pecans and bake at 350F for 15 min. Once you’ve pulled it out of the oven drizzle it with Hot Pepper Maple Syrup or classic maple syrup.

**WARNING** there will be zero self control after the first bite.

Beautiful on the outside, a bit cluttered on the inside. We’re “tapping” into the new sugaring season ahead which means deep cleaning our equipment, underground pipes etc. A lot of parts to our equipment are spread out on tables, chairs, you name it. Not my favorite part but a necessary one.

Trees are getting tapped and hauling trucks are getting tuned up etc. Jordan had mentioned to me earlier that it was nice working in the woods without 2 feet of snow, I don’t think he’s had to use snow shoes yet!

Starting today our sugarhouse will be closed for the season. You CAN order online 365 days of the year so you can still get your maple syrup!

Inventory is a little low at this time, however, I will be staying busy the next few weeks making sure we stock back up on your favorites in time for the holidays.
