Out of the incubator and into the brooder!

We were fortunate enough to hatch 3 chicks from our own flock! Lil Opie babies!!
•
They all have 5 toes like their dad, and Pip already has quite the floof on its head. We’re so EGGcited to see how these babies grow and develop!
•
So now we have 9 chicks in the brooder to continue our chicken egg operation! Yes, yes I got 6 cuties from Bernalillo Feed the other day…

Lady bugs and tomatoes…

The garden is doing garden things! We’ve been working hard since moving to our home to ensure we have a healthy lil ecosystem… and this year feels like it’s finally happening. We’ve hit the tipping point of success.
•
We always aim to leave our soil and property we call home in better condition than we got it. We owe our existence to the top 6ish inches of soil on our planet… and water is life.
•
We have to care for them…

If you haven’t already. Start preparing.

I don’t mean this to panic you… but I’ve been telling those closest to me for over a year that we need to be prepared. Food, gas, water, and possible electricity shortages are coming if not here already.
•
The writing has been on the wall… now suddenly more people are speaking out and ringing the alarm bells.
•
So prepare Spooklie… make lasting connections with your local food sources, a lot of us barter and trade instead of exchanging money.
•
A lot of us didn’t vote for this regime… and are actively fighting it.
