Had a buyer back out on a whole beef. The cow weighed 1105 lbs. Available as a 1/4. half, or whole. $2.50 per pound live weight plus approx. $125 per quarter for processing. Delivered to the processor this morning so meat should be ready late in the week of Jan 5th. Cost of the cow due now, processing due when picked up. Message or call 205-492-9725.

We have one quarter of a beef left for cows we are taking to the processors tomorrow. This cow will weigh approximately 1100 pounds. Price is $2.50 per pound live weight for the cow and then processing fees are paid directly to the processor when you pick your processed meat up. Let us know if you are interested in the quarter.
We also have a number of cows that will be ready in the next several months. These will be available in 1/4's, 1/2's and whole. Please let us know if you would like on the list for future processing.

This is great news for Alabama. Only real beef allowed to be sold in our state. If you are looking to purchase some local grown beef for your freezer, we still have on half and one quarter left that will be ready next week. Chilton County grown and processed beef will be a great hit for your cookouts this summer.

On Wednesday, Governor Kay Ivey signed Senate Bill 23 into law. Sponsored by Sen. Jack Williams (R-Wilmer) and Rep. Danny Crawford (R-Athens), this legislation bans the manufacture, sale and distribution of cell-cultured food products marketed as meat alternatives in the State of Alabama.

“We greatly appreciate Sen. Williams and Rep. Crawford for working to protect consumers in Alabama,” ACA Executive Vice President Erin Beasley said. “Cattlemen work hard every day to raise cattle and produce high-quality beef. The tireless efforts of Sen. Williams and Rep. Crawford this session will ensure Alabamians continue to purchase safe, wholesome, real beef.”

We still have 1/2 a cow left. They will be taken to the processors Tuesday morning and will be ready to be picked up around May 15th. Expected to weigh a little over 1000 lbs.

UPDATE: SOLD!!

We have a whole cow available. Taken to the processor on January 19th. Will be available to pick up on February 2nd or shortly after. Selling 1/4, 1/2, or whole. This is one of our local raised cows that was primarily grass fed with some added feed for finishing. Hormone and antibiotic free. Message us for more information if interested.

After much deliberation, we are making some changes in our freezer beef operation and will be selling off our brood cows as we wean calves. One of the first available is Betsy. She is a 2019 cow that has produced several great calves for us. If you would like to come look at her are any of the herd, let us know. We will be around all week.
