WHAT TO EXPECT

🗓️ Event Dates:
October 3–4, 10–11, and 17–18

Train Departure Times (Central Time):

Saturdays: 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, & 3:00 PM

Sundays: 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM

Trip & Boarding Details:

Boarding: Begins 15 minutes prior to departure.

Train Ride Duration: ~25 minutes.

Time at Pumpkin Junction: ~60 minutes.

Seating: First-come, first-served (unassigned). Choose between open-air cars or enclosed, climate-controlled cars. Caboose and locomotive tickets may also be available!

Accessibility: Accessible boarding is available at both the Calera Depot and Pumpkin Junction. To reserve a wheelchair spot with adjacent seating for your family, please select the "Wheelchair Spaces" ticket option.

Mark your calendars, Pinson Butterbean Days returns October 2nd and 3rd, 2026, carrying on the beloved tradition after the original Alabama Butterbean Festival was reborn under new management this year. 🫘🎉

Billed as the first and only festival of its kind in the country, this Pinson tradition celebrates the humble butterbean with arts and crafts, cooking contests, live music, a 5K run, a pet show, and even fireworks Friday night. After a funding dispute threatened to end the festival for good, the community and the North Jefferson Chamber of Commerce stepped in to keep the tradition alive under its new name.

Tick, tock. Tick, tock. The 21st annual Barber Vintage Festival is just days away. Have you purchased tickets? Remember, children 15 years of age and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

While you’re at the festival, visit the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum to experience the DUCATI 100 and GSX-R FORTY YEARs exhibitions, made possible with support from the Italian American Heritage Society of Birmingham, Alabama.

Event posters are sold in the gift shop, as well as at the merchandise trailers located throughout the park. Admission to the museum requires a separate ticket, which is available for purchase at the front desk when you arrive.
