I’m a single mom with two little girls, working full-time and building a business from the ground up. Most nights are late—either from getting off work or prepping for the next event—because I’m determined to give my girls a better life.
My youngest is what I call my Velcro baby. She needs to be close to me, especially at night. Tonight, as I was cutting strawberries, she held onto my leg, softly twirling her hair. After a while, I didn’t feel her hand anymore. When I looked down, my sweet baby had fallen asleep right there on the kitchen floor.
Moments like that break and fill my heart all at once. Everything I do is for them. Every pancake I sell isn’t just for extra cash—it’s a single mom working hard to build something, to provide, and to show her girls what love and perseverance look like.
So from one mama to another, or from one parent to another—thank you for supporting my business. Because this is what it really looks like behind closed doors. 💕🥞
