Davis Farm We are one of 2 remaining Dairy Farms in Jericho, Vermont We sell raw, Organic, grass fed milk as well as farm crafted compost.

Gary's Grandfather(Cedric) purchased this farm in the 1940's. It has been farmed continuously by a member of the family since then, except for a few years in the 70"s. We are trying to raise our children amidst the pull of the world. Our world has been shattered by the loss of our 17 year old son on July 28, 2013. Then Gary's diagnosis of a rare cancer and slip into a severe Clinical depression.

Worship this morning and then my farmer and I enjoyed a drive to Elmore with a stop at the Burger Barn for some lunch! We drove to a really fun place that sells fruit trees and bushes! My farmer knows
that I have wanted a small orchard. We planted a few Apple Trees years ago. But the cows got into them and after a few years they were gone. So, we’re going to try again. We got a catalog and some information and we’ll choose our varieties!
It’s been a lovely day just enjoying family and slowing it down.
This week is back to reality! Bookwork, cleaning and learning to live with a very empty house.
I know she hasn’t moved far. But it’s a change. I’m acknowledging it. And recognizing the beauty in all the change. 🤍🤍🤍

Finally feeling rested today! It has taken me all week to recover from that wedding! My farmer was a rock star yesterday and hauled all the wedding dishes and silverware back to the barn. We packed labeled the table cloths that we had cleaned. I’ve done a quick vacuum. And now need to deep clean.
Still living on the memories! Such a beautiful day. Off to Worship. Much to be grateful for. I would like to be grateful for sunshine. But that doesn’t seem to be a thing. 😂😂But I am grateful for coffee in my new mug! ☕️ Find time to rest today. That looks different for everyone. Quiet your mind and step into gratitude to God. Even the hard. For in those moments we are learning more and more about His character. 🤍

10 years ago my brother called to say that dad had passed away. It was Memorial Day. Seems fitting that he would pass on that day. He was so patriotic. Miss him so much. The memory thief had taken so much of him through the years. For those of you dealing with Alzheimer’s or any form of dementia. I see you. My heart hurts with you. I know the endless exhaustion that comes
with care taking.
I finally finished washing the last of the dishes!My farmer took them all to the barn! I cleared off all couches and have a few more boxes to put away! Finally feeling a little more organized!! Now for some
nicer weather to be able to decorate the porches!!

Still on wedding clean up. Boy do I move slowly! But have taken time to do other things that are important!

I will deeply treasure this moment.
Since July 28,2013 I have had to learn how to live a new life. Every waking moment, family photo, event, or Holiday is marred. Part of that time I lived not knowing if my husband would live or die as cancer knocked on our door and the joy thief reared its ugly head while grieving the loss of our son.
I have worked daily to step into Gratitude. To choose to see the grace God bestowed.
Only Chelsea’s wedding photo includes all of us.
I share this because Eleanor choosing to honor her brother with a dance with me and her siblings was so thoughtful. The song she chose reflected my hearts cry.
There is a crowded table waiting in heaven for all. You just need to accept the invitation. Say yes to Jesus. No, your life won’t be perfect. But I promise you, you will never walk alone. You will be carried when you can’t take another step. God will hold you. You will find joy when you thought you could never feel again. And there will be peace beyond anything you could ever imagine.

Hot coffee in my mug. ☕️Beautiful sunshine spilling over that mountain. There is still not a speck of floor space or counter space that is not covered. I have a sink full of silverware to be dried and sorted and 6 crates of dishes to wash.
We spent last night celebrating the two year old. There is always a tension of what needs to get done and then what we want to do.
The house can wait. I can’t seem to manage both! 😆😆For now I will plug away at all of this and step into gratitude for this amazing life, for the sunshine, for the hay (even though there are hardly any bales) and for coffee.
