Man, things got quiet around here FAST.

We just sent the last of the fat hogs to the butcher. We sold six sows, and that leaves us with two really nice sows still available.

And in just 20 days, Ephraim heads out on his mission to Flagstaff, Arizona. So Cowboy Eph is getting ready to head off on his next adventure, and the pig farm is looking a whole lot different than it did a few months ago.

But we've still got some pork to move! 👇

They're already around 100 to 150 pounds and ready for someone to finish them out. Raise them through the end of the year and you'll have pork for your freezer.

FOUR PREGNANT SOWS — $3,000 FOR ALL FOUR

We have four pregnant sows available as a group, and we're looking for one serious buyer before they begin farrowing in approximately 4–6 weeks.

🐷 3 Purebred Hereford sows
🐷 1 Berkshire × Hereford sow

Two of the Hereford sows are bred to produce purebred Hereford litters. One Hereford and the Berkshire × Hereford are bred to a Berkshire boar.

These aren't just any breeding females. Docility and strong maternal traits have been intentionally bred into this program for 10 years. The goal has been to produce pigs that are manageable, productive and good mothers.

Normally, these sows would bring approximately $1,000 each. We're offering all four for $3,000.

Here's the opportunity:

• Four pregnant females
• Farrowing begins in approximately 4–6 weeks
• Expecting at least 30 piglets
• Piglets can be ready to sell at approximately 6 weeks old
• At $200 per piglet, 30 piglets would represent $6,000 in potential gross sales
• Estimated feed cost through that period is approximately $500

You're buying the breeding stock and the first crop is already on the way.

If you've been thinking about building a small breeding operation, raising your own pork, or getting into quality Hereford and Berkshire genetics, this is a chance to start with four pregnant females instead of waiting a year for your first litters.
