Birthday Tiramisu Experiment 🥴☕🎂
My daughter-in-law requested tiramisu for her birthday.
Now, keep in mind:
I've never made tiramisu.
I've never eaten tiramisu.
I had no idea what a ladyfinger was.
I had to order said ladyfingers from Amazon because apparently living in the middle of nowhere means our grocery store draws the line at fancy Italian desserts.
So after watching approximately 47 minutes of internet experts confidently explaining things, this is the result.
Is it authentic? No clue. Is it pretty? Also no. Is it edible? We're about to find out.
If you hear nothing further from me, assume the tiramisu won.
Happy Birthday to the brave daughter-in-law who volunteered as the taste tester. ❤️😂🍰☕

It's a smidge later than I'd hoped, but the tomatoes went in today. This is the first year I started tomatoes from seed, so I'm on a learning curve. Most of the tomatoes I planted are Indeterminate, so hopefully will climb the makeshift arch we built.
Lukas and BreAnna also planted a bunch on different plants by seed. Some of the tomatoes in the tomatoes cages are Lukas and BreAnna's.
The arch was made using an old fencing panel that some boer bucks pounded on, so a lil wonky.....but she works ;)

We stopped at an estate sale today when we were on the way home from running errands. I'm currently trying to "dejunk"..... so this probably didn't help my cause.🤪🤦‍♀️
But.... gotta show ya my finds. Paul got a pipe wrench and I found this framed print and a couple pretty glass cake plates. One of my daughter in laws is a baker, so maybe she will want one of the cake plates. We spent $10.00 total. We were pretty sure we weren't gonna go wrong them.

It's baking day today. Made Sourdough just for the family. I divided one loaf and made mini loaves..... just for fun. So we will have a lil taste of Italian herb, Jalepeno Cheddar, plain and chocolate chip. We pretty much don't buy bread anymore....very seldom anyway. The Sourdough, once you figure it out, is really pretty easy. And it's nice to have our food without all the extra additives that our food manufacturers sneak in there.

Such a fun idea if someone wants to share a salon day with their littles!❤️💅This is our daughter in law's shop. She has a soft spot for the lil ones, so I'm sure they would feel totally spoiled having this special visit with their mama.❤️❤️

Well, turns out this pumpkin patch has been a bit more time consuming than I estimated. But the landscaping fabric is all down and the pumpkin plants i had started are all in. Paul planned on watering it in for me today, but mother nature beat him to it⛈️
We will plant a few more from seed and use the rest of the space for other veggies.
