We have a few herd share spots available now!

🥛We've been providing high quality, delicious raw milk to our family for nearly 5 years, and to herd shareholders for over 2 years.
🥛Our cows live on pasture as much as possible, and receive some locally-milled grain at milking time.
🥛We machine milk and rapidly chill all milk for long shelf life. Our milk is always full-cream!
🥛Most of our cows are A2A2, and we are happy to separate out A2 milk for anyone who desires it.
🥛All of our cows are tested free of common diseases, and receive weekly milk testing to ensure quality.

We have two 100% grass fed and finished steers headed to the butcher in July. Please let me know if you would like to fill your freezer with a quarter or half steer! We will also have some individual cuts available.

Holstein Cross heifer available in 44840. Halter broke and gentle, 5 months old, and has good potential as a family milk cow for someone wanting a hardy animal. She has nice long teats like her dam. Both parents on site, reach out with questions!

Ember Ridge Farm is pleased to offer a few whole and half shares of our pasture-raised Chevon (Goat). Never tried Goat? It is healthier than other red meat, and extremely lean and tasty. Our family loves it in curry, gyros, barbacoa and more (and we are always happy to share recipes and cooking tips with our customers). We expect these animals to yield hanging weights around 50lb and finished cuts of approximately 30lbs depending on cuts selected. Our price is $6 per pound hanging weight, which includes butcher fees.

Ruthie gave birth to a sweet boy this afternoon! We were checking on her every two hours as labor neared. At 3:30, she headed out of the barn to graze. By 4:45 she wasn't with the herd, and had found a private corner where her lively calf was already up and nursing.

The little guy is doing well, after a relocation to a private stall, due to his desire to wander off in our 105 degree heat.

I think we will call him Thor, after the Norse thunder god. 🌩

Yesterday was a difficult day, as we faced fierce storms that left our area with significiant damage and no power.

We are so thankful for no loss of life, even down to our chickens, whose coop was destroyed.

And this morning, as we get ready to face 100 degree temps still without power, we received a sweet blessing of new life.

Who has a name for this little bull calf, pertaining to storms and heat? 🤩
