Not the usual set up, but you got to start somewhere! I’ll be here tonight and next Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm. 945 Westminster Street, Providence, RI. Then starting in November I have a new winter market in Pawtucket on Tuesdays! I’ll keep you posted!!!

Hell yeah! It may be the last 2 markets , but at least I finally get to join a market! If you know anyone in the area, please share this with them. My selection is small but still delicious!! Friday 4 to 7 pm!

Sunday funday- big ol’ batch of Mexican Chicken Soup. Perfect for the change of seasons. Also an excuse to use another new to me piece of equipment, a tilt skillet!

First day in the kitchen with the giant soup kettle. So the first batch was to see what my normal recipe looks like in the pot and learn how much I can increase it by… well a LOT! And of course the first batch had to be my Turkish Lentil Soup because that was the first soup I made in my old kitchen when I first started. It only seemed appropriate to start fresh with the same soup that started it all. Felt good to be cooking despite being nervous about new equipment, but now that I have done it, I see good new things in my future!

Oh man have I been ITCHING to share this photo with you all! It has taken me 2 months to finally acquire my health and market license here in Providence. Things here are a lot more strict and I’m still working on getting some of my items (like my smoked trout dip) passed through licensing, but soon I will be up and running again. Now it’s time to get my ducks in a row and get started.

Ahhh the joys of packing up a business. You realize what you need and can easily leave behind. Something most people don’t really is how much storage we use for containers and bags…. Oof! Pack the essentials and gift extras to your kitchen mate- .foryou Definitely bittersweet…. Thanks St Paul’s Lutheran Church for letting me grow in your humble kitchen.

This amazing lady- my right hand woman in the kitchen, has been my solid support for over 2 years. She took soo much off my plate, helping me to do more and more. Today was my last day cooking next to her and I can honestly say that if I could pack her in a box and have her move with me, I would. I don’t know what I would have done without her. This Tuesday we took a girl’s date to BITE, for one last bit of inspiration and tasty treats. So raise a glass to your support in the kitchen. Thank you Kate for your dedication, help and being a friend. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later! And thanks to for introducing us!

This is the FINAL market and Tuesday Meal in Jersey City -
Menu for April 28th

Whelp.... this is the last Tuesday/market email I will be sending out to you all from Jersey City. The next step is packing everything up and getting ready to move. It's very surreal. I open up my fridge, and it's empty. I have almost emptied one freezer, and the second has the last remaining soups in there. So currently, whatever I have ready to purchase for online and the farmers market- it's all online, so once it's sold out, that is it. I am not making any more fresh dips, and this is the last of the rapee morv andelle. I am also going to put on the site something that I have NEVER put on before- the hand pies! They are being made tomorrow, so I can pull the items to the side for delivery on Tuesday.

If you want to pick up an order at the market, you need to place your order by Friday at noon. That is the latest I am in the kitchen for the day, so I won't be able to pull extra for your order anytime past noon (except the fresh Tuesday meal).

So for the last meal I thought it was only appropriate to celebrate Taco Tuesday. Yup, this is my go to taco meal that is a banger! I bring this camping, I bring it to backyard BBQs, and make it for dinner parties. The meal is Michelada Carne Asada Tacos. These tacos are unfortunately NOT gluten free- it is marinated in b**r and a michelada mix. What is michelada? Think of a bloody mary, but with b**r. This comes with a side of salsa, onions with cilantro (aka con todos), radishes and of course, lime.

I will be at the Van Vorst Farmers Market on Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm, where you can place your orders with me in person. As always, you can place your orders online at riggscoprovisions.com (http://www.riggscoprovisions.com)

Orders must be placed by 6 pm on Sunday, April 26th. You can choose - pick up, which is at Palisade Liquor (on Palisade and Hutton), or have it delivered to you on Tuesday, April 28th.
