Thank you everyone who came to the Art Sci booth at the Jersey Art Fair ❤️ We are here for one more day - join us TODAY for closing out with a participatory performance of HOX Zodiac: Year of the Fire Horse: A Tasting Ritual.

📍Framing Gallery at Mana Contemporary
⏱️Sunday, May 3, 4:30-6pm

Presented as a live, durational tasting ritual, the experience unfolds in cycles, allowing visitors to enter and exit freely. Centered on the Fire Horse—an emblem of intensity, transformation, movement, and passion—participants engage through taste, smell, sound, and collective ritual. Each tasting becomes a portal, linking the body to planetary cycles, mythology, and contemporary life.

What is HOX Zodiac?

HOX Zodiac is a long-term project by Victoria Vesna and neuroscientist Siddharth Ramakrishnan (since 2008). This participatory art–science work brings together myth, culture, food, and genetics through shared, edible encounters. Join us for the participatory performance of HOX Zodiac at the JAB Fair this weekend at the Mana Contemporary, Jersey City

On Sunday, May 3rd 3:30-5pm, Victoria Vesna and Maryam Razi will present a participatory performance. Presented as a live, durational tasting ritual, the experience unfolds in cycles, allowing visitors to enter and exit freely. Centered on the Fire Horse—an emblem of intensity, transformation, movement, and passion—participants engage through taste, smell, sound, and collective ritual. Each tasting becomes a portal, linking the body to planetary cycles, mythology, and contemporary life.

This is not a demo. It is a shared activation.
