Dad planted two apple trees when I was maybe 7-8 years old along with a peach that didn't make it a year. A couple years ago we lost an apple. In October half of the surviving one fell over in a wind storm. This afternoon I got around to cleaning it up and figured I'd cut the rest down thinking it was rotten all the way through. But after cleaning up all the rotting stuff I think it may not be after all. I'm going to trim off all the small stuff so it doesn't waste its energy trying to grow and we will see what happens. I've seen trees do weirder things. What do you think, is it savable?
