First cheese tasting is officially in the books! 🧀🎉

The verdict? Good texture… WAY too salty. 😂🧂

Note to self: Do NOT attempt the salting step at 2 a.m. Apparently, “sleepy” and “reading measurements correctly” do not go hand in hand. 🤪

And because apparently I didn’t learn my lesson the first time, tomorrow’s cheese is going to be salty too. 🙈

Because apparently 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon are NOT the same thing. 🤦‍♀️😂🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂

It’s been a busy couple of days around the farm! 🐄🧀

I’ve processed 6 gallons of milk into cheese, all in the name of experimentation. 😂 Now we wait!

Wednesday will be the big taste test to see how our farmhouse cheese turned out, and Thursday we’ll find out if our infused farmhouse cheese is a winner. 👀🧀

Stay tuned…because if these experiments turn out as good as we hope, we may just be adding a few more goods from our ladies and our little farm! ❤️🌱

Farm life is always a little bit of work, a little bit of fun, and a whole lot of experimenting! 😉

We have milk, butter and eggs available for delivery to Hector or Russellville. I will also be making more mozzarella and trying my hand at some infused farmhouse cheese this weekend as well. That won’t be ready until later this week. Let me know if you want any of those things! 🥛🧈🧀🥚
