Winning is great.
But if you want to win, you have to learn to love the journey.
The early mornings. The late nights in the barn. The animals that test your patience, the days nothing seems to work, and the mistakes that send you back to try again.
You have to value the work nobody sees. The extra time practicing, the stalls cleaned, the miles walked, the hair worked, and all those little details that never make it into the backdrop picture.
That’s where winning starts.
Long before the judge makes a decision or someone hands you a banner, it starts with learning to master *and love* the work it takes to get there.
Do that, and the banners and buckles have a funny way of starting to come your way.
