We received our Chardonnay vines today! The vines come packed in sawdust as it keeps in some moisture retention, provides some temperature insulation and of course offers a bit of physical protection too. After unpacking, the vines get placed in a bit of water to get the roots wet before they get planted in the ground. This Chardonnay will become part of our sparkling wine program.

Chris of course had to do a pose from Guardians of the Galaxy…Elisa has never seen it!

It was a truly an honor to host Ludovic Dervin from Stags’ Leap Winery on Saturday. 🍷🥂

We were delighted to share both our sparkling and still wines alongside conversation and hospitality. With Ludovic’s extensive experience in the world of sparkling wine prior to his arrival at Sags' Leap, the afternoon became not only a wonderful exchange, but also a chance for us to learn and get feedback on what we are doing.

Thank you, Ludovic, for spending time with us and sharing your knowledge and passion. We look forward to raising another glass together soon. We are so glad you came to visit us and some of our other favorite winemaker friends in your Texas travels.

Big news for Elisa Christopher Wines 🍷

Our 2024 Petite Sirah was awarded 93 points by Cristaldi & Company — and we’re especially honored by Jonathan Cristaldi’s tasting notes:

“Blue fruit and violets, hints of jasmine or honeysuckle building with apricot and plum, and grippy Rooibos tea tannins, building to a full-bodied sweet-spiced finish.”
But our favorite line?

“Totally Crushable.”

We couldn’t agree more.

Bold, layered, floral, and endlessly drinkable, this Petite Sirah is everything we love about this wine.
