If you purchase a ticket for the kids maze you will get access to the hay ride, kids corn maze, playground, pick your own pumpkin field, and all the games. Tickets for the kids maze are $10/person.

Our haunted attractions have only been open for two years now, but keep growing each season! Our team makes each year better and better, so I know it will be the same this fall. Tickets will be the same price as last year $15/person. When you get your wristband you will get access to all 4 haunted attractions which include the hay ride, corn maze, Christmas trees, and Orchard. If you’re looking for a good scare being surrounded by corn in total darkness on a farm is a great place to start!

🌽Corn is one of the few plants that can self pollinate! The tassel creates the pollen, and the silks take the pollen. 🌽

🐝Honey bees are flying all over the field spreading the pollen along the silks, and what they don’t spread the wind will. They will take the pollen they collect back to their hives to make honey!🍯

🚜Once the pollen gets on the silk it will travel down the tube to one single kernel on the cob. It will take 12-24 hours to travel to the kernel, then that single kernel is pollinated and will start to enlarge. The silk will detach from the kernel once it is pollinated, and that is why they will turn brown once the corn is ready to pick. 🌽

🐛The critters know when it’s getting ready too. One of the biggest pests in sweet corn is the corn worm. Moths will lay larvae inside the silks and tassels so they can have enough food when they hatch. This is not good for the farmer growing the corn tho. Without the tassels and silks the plant won’t produce a full ear. If you leave them too long, when you harvest there will be a worm eating a tunnel through your fresh ear of sweet corn. Nobody wants worms in their corn, so we are going to try an organic spray for the first time ever to help control the worms 🐛

Do you love sweet corn? We do too, and we know where to get it this season.

Keep your eyes on the lookout for our harvest videos, we will let everyone know when we start picking so you can get your orders in. Sweet corn always goes out faster than we can pick it, so get it while you can! Our first picking will be an early season bi-color super sweet variety. We will have Peaches and Cream and Silver Queen later in the year if you’re looking for an older variety!

All of our sweet potatoes are in the ground! Our Holland transplanter makes getting the 1,000 slips planted so much easier. We planted two different varieties this season, Georgia Jet and Beauregard. Harvest starts in 90 days and we sure are ready for some sweet potato pie!🥧

Our weld job held up on the disc, all the fields are done except one! Now it’s time to get the plow down to the shop. It looks like we will be getting rain the rest of the week, so while the fields are drying out we will be welding.👨🏻‍🏭

🌽Breakdowns always happen at the most inconvenient times. You just have to figure out how to get back in the field as fast as possible during planting season!

🚜We are getting our disc hook up welded back together this weekend so we will be ready to get some more ground tore up on Monday!
