On this International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those we’ve lost, like our visionary and namesake, Jenna.

We say their names. We honor their lives. We grieve the spaces they left behind.

But today is also for those who survived.

For the person who woke up.
For the person still healing.
For the person who got another chance.

Their story is part of overdose awareness, too - because an overdose doesn’t have to end in death.

To those we’ve lost: you mattered.
To those who survived: you matter.
To those still fighting: you matter.

Today, we remember Jenna on what would have been her 34th birthday. Jenna believed deeply in the power of recovery and dreamed of helping others find hope and healing.

That dream lives on through Jenna's Promise, where her compassion and determination continue to inspire our work every day. She will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

The best way to honor Jenna is to keep believing in recovery. Every day, people choose hope, rebuild their lives, and prove that lasting change is possible. By supporting one another, speaking openly about substance use disorder, and investing in recovery, we help make those stories possible.

Meet Shannon. To say we are proud of her would be an understatement.
Hardworking, dedicated, driven, funny and caring are just a few words that describe who she is. Shannon has played such an important role in our growth and success, and her hard work and countless contributions have helped shape who we are today. There’s a good chance the coffee in your mug was packaged, weighed, ground, or prepared by Shannon herself.

Earlier this week, Shannon completed the Jenna’s Promise residential program - a program that provides sober living accommodations, comprehensive treatment services, a nurturing community, and innovative workforce development opportunities focused on building essential job skills.

Workforce development is a cornerstone of Jenna’s Promise’s mission, and while many residents in recovery have worked at our roastery during their time in the program, today we are especially proud to celebrate Shannon and all she has accomplished.

We are also thrilled to share that Shannon has decided to stay on with us as a member of the roasting team.

Shannon, thank you for the dedication, heart, and positivity you bring to our team every single day. We are so grateful to have you with us and incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished.
