Double Boil Friday!

Well, Mother Nature helping us out so far. It’s shaping up to be a busy weekend in the sugarhouse.
The team started around 4am and ended around 8pm generating around 400 gallons of green mountain gold!

Luckily some of our professional taste testers were around to step in and lend a hand to help wrap up boil #2.

We just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone that came out to join us today at our annual sugar on snow. Our family looks forward to putting this on every year and it was great to see some new faces join us today and have some of our regulars back up to the hill! Here’s to wrapping up the season with a few more boils. Please let us know if you didn’t get syrup today and wanted some we are happy to coordinate.

Bluebird days & a full Sugarhouse are good luck for a 1st boil.

The crew had a seamless day - we completed a quick survey of the woods regarding vaccum stats. Filled and sweetened the evaporator. Made 2 barrels (80 gals of dark robust) on 13.7k gallons of sap.

For a season a mere 2 months ago we didn’t think we would have, today was a pretty sweet start.

Just like that, the 2026 Tapping season is complete!

Our team made a serious push this past weekend to get our final lines complete.

This years mission was quality over quantity and we spent as much time maintaining the sugarbush and cutting out smaller trees in hopes of yielding better draws on the vaccum, longevity in our crop and overall efficiency.

Stay tuned as we kick off our boiling season and see what this season has in store!

The kids are now in a tap count war. Our oldest little lady decided to make her debut to the sugarbush and was all smiles as she spent her day shadowing Auntie Duff.

Fueled by The Cupboard Deli maple chocolates the crew continues to near completion.

We had an extra special day with our oldest of the fifth generation joining us for the full day as we knocked out our ‘Mile Long Line’ and a few small ones. Way to go Connor!

The boss is back and we hit the ground running!

Today was not our sweetest day out in the woods getting our taps in…our ‘Sidehill’ section is one of our most challenging each year.

VT saw heavy winds this past year and our location on top of a hill certainly saw that damage in our trees. Our crew was truly outstanding today as they navigated TONS of snow even with snow shoes and may have spent more time repairing damage than we were able to get taps in.

Here’s to knocking out a few more tomorrow!
