On January 1st of this year, just north of Boulder, CO, Josh and Christina Gilson ( on Instagram) were on their way with two of their children, Kaylee and Josh Jr., to join a group for a New Year's trail run. Tragically, while on the highway, Josh lost control of their Jeep due to a mechanical failure. The Jeep swerved into the median, hit a culvert, and was launched into the air, landing upside down. Both Josh and Christina were killed, while Josh Jr. and Kaylee, though shaken, crawled out with minor injuries. Their puppy, Maddi, sustained severe injuries, with four broken legs, and was later put down.
Josh and Christina were incredible people, always among the first to lend a hand when needed. The Gilson kids have been deeply involved in the Jeep community for years, growing up around rock crawling. Josh Jr. has even served as a spotter on some of the most technical obstacles. Many of the social media videos you've seen were filmed by the kids!
To support the Gilson kids Kaylee (12), Josh Jr. (16), and Deanna (18) a special bank account has been set up in their name. 100% of the proceeds raised from this cruise, raffle, and auction will go directly to them.
