A little bit about us.

Philia (Fil-ee-ah) Farm is a certified organic diversified vegetable and seed garlic farm in Johnstown, NY. Created by Crystal and Jean-Paul Stewart-Courtens, the farm was named after the Greek word for the kind of love in which you want what is best for the other. This love can extend to the land, to the community, and to all the farmers who are a part of this place. We strive help grow this place that we love, knowing that we are all “in it” together. We hope to welcome you to the farm, to nourish you with our vegetables, and to make this world we share a little better, together.
