I guess there’s no better time than now to show the faces behind The Thomas Homestead than on our anniversary! 🤗
Hi all! Our names are Josh and Nicole!
Here we are, 11 years of marriage and 15 years together later, building our passion for farm life and animals!
I (Nicole) grew up locally…and by locally I mean from 5th grade on I lived right next door to where we are now. 😂 You could say that the farm is my “side gig” because I am also a District Manager for maurices! I’ve been with maurices for over 15 years. My job requires a lot of travel so thankfully Josh, with some help from my parents, hold down the fort while I travel to my stores during the week. Fun fact, my district spans from central PA the whole way down to southern VA! This was my grandparents property, so I have always had horses in my life and always had a passion for animals!
Josh has been in the area for about 17(?) years and is from Troy, Pa (close to the border of NY)! He lives and breathes farming…literally. He has worked on farms most of his life (dairy, beef, and pig) and after a few years of trying other industries, he found his way back to his passion in 2019ish. At that time he started working at a large farm in Hooversville and hasn’t looked back; he is in his happy place! So when he’s not at home taking care of animals and doing farm chores, he’s doing the same thing there with about 50 horses and beef cows/longhorn cattle (plus buffalo, goats, and birds lol).
