We can't believe it 🤣, but we know that many people do not enjoy seafood so we have been offering a different Authentic, Ethnic Featured Meal each Friday in addition to our Traditional Pyramids Fish Fry menu. I was at work today and was sure to leave just in time to walk through one of my most admired buildings for open house. Garfield is more than just a school, it is a part of so many of my memorable, excellent life moments. It is a landmark to Johnstown/ West End natives. Each one of my siblings as well as my Dad attended Garfield. This piece of art was built the same year that my Dad was born, 1927. My family was so saddened when the school was closed down. We are now overjoyed to know that this beautiful school will be open again. I have been waiting in anticipation as I have watched the contractors coming and going daily for months now. I didn't have enough time today to see as much as I would have liked to due to work, but what I saw was perfect!!! Walking through during the auction was a sad day but today was AMAZING! 🎉🎉🎉🕺💃🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations to the Greater Johnstown Superintendent, to the teachers, employees and craftsmen(they worked weekends and nights)that made this rehab happen. I hope that this school provides nothing but great memories for everyone that goes through the doors! ***Kudos for replacing "Johnstown Middle School" with "Garfield" above the front doors!!!!! Can not wait to show these photos my Dad later!!!

This Friday 8/22 Homemade Ethnic Dish at Pyramids Fish Fry is 🇱🇧"SHEIKH El MAHSHI", which translates into the "king of dishes," in arabic. It is stuffed baby eggplant and one of my most favorite dishes since I was a kid. It is a classic Middle Eastern dish where baby eggplants are stuffed with (ground lamb or beef), we are using halal beef mixed with sauteed onions, rendered butter, warm spices and toasted pine nuts. The eggplant is then cooked in a seasoned tomato sauce. It is NOT a "hot " spicy dish. The eggplant then is served with Lebanese rice and Pita $25. We will also have the KAHARI GOSHT $25, a Pakistani dish of cubed boneless halal Leg of Lamb cooked in a seasoned tomato and herb sauce. We will also have all of our Pyramids Famous Fish Fry menu items.
