Well…I guess Gwen is a little more than just a cat-herder…😂
Here is her second work on sheep! Showing some great confidence, balance, rate, responds to flag pressure nicely. A lot to like in this talented pup!
Thanks to James Wurz for selling her to me! Gwen was bred by James and is by Milt Scott’s nice dog Bob!

I train my dogs to heel in formation while roading so I can control their pace and execute effective interval conditioning.
I start this as puppies, teaching them to walk politely on leash behind 9 and 3 in relation to me. There is NO FOOLING AROUND ALLOWED! It’s work time. When they have that down, I move to my scooter, then the quad, then horseback.
This also ensures their safety as I always know where they are instead of them running wild around the quad.
In this video, 3 of my young dogs show how it’s done! (HF Zeke 22 months, HTR Hoss 17 months, HTR Ty 8 months) 😁❤️

Shearing is a WRAP! It’s always exciting to see the fleeces roll if the flock! The Wensleydale fleeces are lovely with some cool color variations and exquisite curl!

The ewes all look great and are definitely close to lambing! The yearling replacements look REALLY nice! I’m excited to see what their lambs look like in 2025!

Thank you to Anna Phipps for doing an AMAZING job on my flock and for fitting us into her busy schedule!
