What do you think??
Does my girl get Example A or B?

Coming home from a day on the boat to see him hanging around the apple trees. How many points do you see?

Catch of the day! Almost looked like an originary lobster when she was in the trap, yet when she lifted her claws, they were white! While she wasn't completely white, it was still wicked cool to see!

A true white lobster is an extremely rare marine crustacean lacking all shell pigmentation, with an estimated occurrence in the wild of about 1 in 100 million.

Good morning from the SeaWolf! Out on the hunt for some Maine Lobster!

I often see females lobster who are impacted by shell rot. They do face a higher risk because of their delayed molting while the carry eggs...

Its sad seeing an lobster impacted by this and as the fisherman, I can't do anything.

I think I answered the question what makes a seagull from the sea different from those seagull that are hanging in the parking lot of McDs.

🦞 THE FINAL NOTCHES ARE IN! 🦞

After a summer of friendly competition, SOUTHERN MAINE FUTURE CATCH has officially earned the M***a Notcha Trophy! 🏆

🥇 Southern Maine Future Catch: 34,070 notches

🥈 Downeast Tail Pinchers: 29,388 notches

🥉 Midcoast Notchmen: 27,583 notches

Together, Maine lobstermen reported 91,041 notches, protecting an estimated 910 million lobster eggs. That’s something worth celebrating!

But lobstermen can only notch the eggers that crawl into their traps. We set a big goal, and Mother Nature decides when — and where — those egg-bearing females show up.

So while the team competition ends September 25, the Billion Egg Challenge does not.

Maine lobstermen will keep doing what they’ve always done: V-notching egg-bearing females to protect the future of the lobster resource. And Challenge participants — keep counting and reporting those notches. Every one gets us closer to ONE BILLION eggs protected.

Congratulations to Southern Maine Future Catch, and a HUGE thank you to every lobsterman who participated, reported notches, and showed the world what this fishery’s commitment to conservation looks like.

The competition may be over. The notching isn’t.

Keep those notch jars handy. MLA will be collecting them to help bring the 1 BILLION egg goal to life.
