It’s been 16 full years that I’ve been at Depot Street Brewing:
Starting out as a part time delivery, cleaning b**r lines and kegs, and moving up to brewing professionally for the vast majority of my career. My left knee is shot, my back hurts daily but I made b**r regardless. The business was bought in 2018 (a craft b**r economic peak) with little to no assets in my name and a big dream to continue making b**r, and it happened, I did it.
The friends and community that came to me during my time here at Depot is too much to name, but do know that I truly, truly appreciate every one of you and your support over these years. Depot Street has long been a place of tranquility and gathering for those in the know; we always have taken pride in being unapologetically pastoral yet welcoming, but we are at a crossroads in the history of Depot Street Brewing, and after a lot of discussion it’s been decided to start winding down operations here; this isn’t an immediate move, but rather a first step into a long process. We wanted to be transparent about it, so that if you notice changes here, you know why. For now we will continue to have normal taproom hours and the b**r is still flowing, with more yet to come, but stay tuned for an announcement for a big festival here so we can go out with a bang, together, as a community of friends and colleagues, neighbors and business partners. Don’t feel bad or sorry for us, we did it; it was a good ride and all things must pass.
Sincerely,
Devin
