Due to the lack of acceptance of the medium to which cattle have access, bovine art is generally not displayed in galleries. So here’s some street artwork our boys created last night. Perhaps they are expressing their unhappiness with the high daily temperatures, or possibly their opinions on current management.

New chicks progression: born February 14, starting with a small area then getting more of the coop, down to one light and the whole 8x8 coop in a few weeks. They love trying to fly across the coop. Then when the weather is nice, they get a screened view outside, and last week they got outside to a small yard (40’ x 40’). That’s the most interesting thing to watch—their adjustment to the outdoors. Their consumption of feed goes down as they start sampling grass and weeds and bugs. Soon, they’ll be allowed to roam the .25 acre enclosure, then eventually will be combined with the layer flock who have no limits to their roaming.
