Boone Street Market A place to find truly local food! We help growers market food items produced within 100 miles of JBO. It doesn't replace the farmers market—it expands it!

Boone Street Market is operated by Jonesborough Locally Grown, the nonprofit that organizes the Saturday Jonesborough Farmers Market, the Farm to Table Dinner (with Main Street Cafe & Catering) and other events that celebrate and teach about local food! Boone Street Market extends the reach of the Jonesborough Farmers Market by creating a year-round retail outlet for local food products. The store

offers local farmers a new outlet to sell locally-raised items on a direct-to-consumer basis. The store also offers a commercial kitchen that producers can rent to create value-added products. Store staff are available to help producers and consumers learn about growing, harvesting, marketing and perparing local foods. Boone Street Market is a nonprofit market run for the benefit of its customers and growers. It is staffed by a paid manager and an assistant, plus many volunteers who help keep our overhead costs down, so the maximum return is earned by our farmers. Customer and vendor memberships also help support operating costs.

Know your farmer, know your food.

Rocky Field Farm is a 225-acre family-run beef cattle farm in Greene County, where Wayne Hughes and his family care for the land and cattle using regenerative agriculture practices. With no added hormones, no antibiotics, and a commitment to animal welfare and low-impact handling practices inspired by Dr. Temple Grandin, they believe in raising cattle with care and purpose.
For Wayne, farming is a calling. “It’s in my blood,” he says. “I feel more at peace and like I’m fulfilling my purpose in life when I’m on the land with my cattle.”
Buying from local producers supports our local economy, gives you a closer connection to your food, and helps build a more resilient local food system.
