Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day on the farm. The boyo cleaned up the fence row while I helicopter mom-ed it to make sure he was safe while my baby bear helped husband build a temporary mini-coop for the chicks we hatched to introduce them to the “big kids on the playground”. ❤️

Don’t sleep on the summer scents my loves! Salty Vibes- 8 left, Spicy Mojito- 9 left, Boys of Summer- 12 left and Lemon Verbena- 13 left. When they’re gone, they’re gone until next year.

I’ve toyed around with the idea of offering small-batch herbal teas over the years— especially when it comes time to open my soap shop on the farm, but I never quite took the leap.

This morning’s harvest included a basket full of lemon balm from the herb garden, and I couldn’t resist setting some aside to dry alongside our lavender. 🌿💜

There’s something satisfying about growing, harvesting, and preserving herbs right here.

Tell me honestly—would herbal tea blends be something you’d be interested in seeing from Goldfinch Meadows someday?

Make hay when the sun shines! ☀️ Summer time means it’s time for hay. We currently lease some of our pastures to the neighboring farmer, but I have a feeling this young man of mine will want to do it in the future. He’s currently observing the process and soaking it in. ❤️ I’m going to have a hard time getting him to his hockey practice this afternoon! lol

Garden check! On a whim I decided to plant some calendula seeds and I’m pleased to report they’ve decided to make an appearance. The chamomile is happy as well. ❤️
