🎉 What a fun day celebrating Beckett 🎉Two da Bayou was the cutest theme!

There’s just something special about watching little ones experience the simple joys of childhood. 💚 Beckett and his friends spent the day digging in the sandbox, exploring the petting zoo, loving on the animals, and, of course, making sweet memories in the Bunny Garden. 🐰🐥

From tiny bare feet in the sand to gentle snuggles with fluffy chicks, today was filled with laughter, adventure, and lots of smiles. We are so thankful Beckett’s family chose to celebrate such a special milestone with us!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Beckett! 🥳 We pray this next year is filled with wonder, joy, and countless blessings. Thank you for letting Red Truck Barn be a small part of your big day. ❤️🚜

Red Truck Barn is looking for a few more smiling faces to join our Fall Shop & Pumpkin Patch team this season! 🍂🎃

We’ve had several great people apply, but we still need more team members to complete our crew!

If you love kids, enjoy being outdoors, and want to be part of one of the happiest places around this fall, we’d love to hear from you.

Our team isn’t just there to take tickets or help with activities—we get to help create memories for hundreds of families who visit each fall.

This evening’s sunset behind the barn. It’s quiet, peaceful and welcoming.

Whether you’re gathering with family, celebrating a wedding, attending a workshop, or simply watching another beautiful Louisiana sunset, my hope has always been that every person who comes through these doors leaves encouraged and refreshed.

I’m so thankful for this little corner of God’s creation that we get to share.

Over the past few weeks, I have been capturing the beautiful light, landscapes, flowers, and quiet moments found here at Red Truck Barn and throughout our Louisiana countryside. What began as simply noticing the light has slowly become a collection of fine art photography that reflects both the beauty of creation and the faith woven through my work.

This piece, surrounded by zinnias in the evening light, is one of the first from my Chasing the Light Collection. Seeing it enlarged, matted, framed, and displayed as artwork has made the photograph come alive in an entirely new way.

We’re getting ready for another exciting season at Red Truck Barn, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic, dependable people to join our Fall Team!

We’ll be hiring for our Fall Shop & Pumpkin Patch as well as our weekday Field Trips throughout September and October. Opportunities include working with activities, the petting zoo, hayrides, concessions & bakery, retail, and more!

There are places we pass every day without really seeing them.

This little bayou next to us is one of those places.

Most people would see duckweed and cypress trees. What stopped me was the morning light dancing across the water. It reminded me that God has a way of revealing beauty in places we might otherwise overlook.

That’s what this Chasing the Light journey has become for me—not looking for extraordinary places, but learning to notice the extraordinary light He pours into ordinary ones.

Over the past few weeks, something unexpected has happened.

I’ve always loved flowers, but I’ve begun to realize I’m not just photographing flowers anymore. I’m finding myself chasing the light—those quiet moments when an ordinary scene is transformed by the way God shines His light across it.

Most of these photographs were taken right here in my own yard.

The more I slow down, the more I notice. A palmetto I’ve walked past a hundred times. A cypress branch catching the morning sun. Tiny blossoms hidden inside a flower I had never really seen before.

It has reminded me that God’s creation is full of beauty we often miss when we’re moving too fast.

My hope is that these images do more than decorate a wall. I hope they encourage someone to pause, breathe, and be reminded of the Creator behind His creation.

So today I’m sharing the first piece in what I hope will become a collection called Chasing the Light.

Last night was such a blessing as we welcomed the Kingsville Baptist Church youth group to Red Truck Barn!
The evening was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and lots of summer fun. Everyone enjoyed hot dogs, nachos, and plenty of Blue Bell Ice Cream before heading out to explore.
From pickleball and co****le to Ultimate Frisbee, the corn maze, and visiting the horses and bunnies in the petting zoo, there was something for everyone. It was such a joy to watch friendships grow, hear laughter echo across the farm, and see so many young people simply enjoying time together.
Thank you, Kingsville Baptist Church, for spending your evening with us! We loved having each of you and hope you’ll come back again soon.
