The 2019 Mountain is where Dynamis began, proof, before there was anything else to point to, that this project could exist.
A powerful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, grown and fermented here on the mountain, in Swan Creek.
2019 arrived even and unremarkable here, a mild summer with just enough rain to keep the vines steady. Then, as the reds began to ripen, the sky went quiet. September turned hot and dry across the mountain, one of the driest and warmest Septembers on record, and the vines were left to finish the work on their own. Small berries. Concentrated fruit. Roots doing what roots are built to do.
Intense purple in the glass, with violet aromas that hint at what's coming. Dark fruit, blackberry and plum, leads the palate, carried by integrated tannins into rich background notes of morel mushroom, toffee, and chocolate, closing on a long, savory finish.
This is the wine that made the case for everything that came after it. Now resting in our library, available exclusively to Wine Club members.
