that's a wrap on summer at Northfarthing 🌻🌾

thank you to every single person who came out, picked flowers, chased golden hour, and let a little farm in Jonesville be part of your summer. this field gave us so much this year — and we're already dreaming about next season's blooms.

but we're not done yet 👀 our flower members are still out here picking through early October, so if you want in on the last of the season, memberships are open (pro-rated for what's left of the year).

here's to slower mornings, dirt under your nails, and one more sunset at the farm before fall really settles in 🍂

I am rarely at a loss for words, but...
When people ask me how the flower farm went this summer, I usually, reflexively, say "Good!"

But that's not really the full answer.

My face lights up and my brain starts to spin. I probably look kind of like the meme where she's trying to solve complex equations in her head only with a smile on my face.

(Which I can't figure out how to put here...hey, I grow flowers, ok? I can't be good at everything.)

I say "Good" because the answer is so big.

How was the flower farm this summer?

It was beautiful.
It was lovely.
It was sweaty.
It was maddening.
It was welcoming.
It was delightful.
It was a lot of back pain.
It was exhausting.
It was absolutely a dream come true.

I basically just have a big feelings soup going on about this experience.

But more than anything else, the feeling bubbling to the top is:
​gratitude.

It is my absolute pleasure and privilege to get to welcome you to the tiny taste of Eden that we carve out of what would otherwise be a weed-infested rock garden (ask me how I know).

It is my delight to offer you beauty and delight - and the time to enjoy creation all around you.

It is joyful to get to wrap your bouquets and send you home with a touch of magic to brighten up your week.

Gratitude greets me in the fields and in the flowers and mostly, in my interactions with all of you.

Thank you for making this season such an amazing experience. Thank you for trusting me with your summer memories. Thank you for being a part of the farm and enjoying it with us.

Whether you joined us in the fields for U-Pick, stopped by the farmstand, or settled into the cottage for a quiet getaway, we’re feeling especially grateful for everyone who has been part of Northfarthing.🤎

We’re looking forward to more cottage stays, farmstand visits, slow mornings, peaceful evenings, and meaningful moments shared here at the farm.

Good morning from the flower field!

It's our last day of u-picks for the season** and we are full of fresh blooms - sunnies, zinnias, amaranth, bachelor buttons, cosmos, basil, ageratum, globe amaranth, and our first dahlias of the season!

We're open 3 sessions today to make sure you can enjoy the farm.
9-noon this morning
1-4 this afternoon
6-9 this evening

The weather is perfect. The blooms are lovely. Come on out and enjoy the field and spend some time on the farm!
