Our ranch was formally known as the "Old McLaughin Place" and they acquired the land by squatters rights, desert claims and redemption rights in 1887. They were looking for a place with lots of springs, good grass cover and NO RATTLESNAKES. Chuck and Jo, my grandparents bought the place in 1955 and began raising short horn cattle. They went on to raise Limousine, Gelbvieh and now we have trended t
o 100% Red Angus genetics. We have been using the Red Angus tags since we started marketing with Superior Livestock. We use EID tags through Verified Beef in Bozeman,MT. Our cows run on native and tame pastures and are fed hay from December through the end of May. We have and continue to work on enhancing our water system with five new tanks on the original ranch site and we are starting new projects. Our place is located eight miles east of Garneill at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, stop by and see our cattle and place anytime!
