Today we got fencing supplies. Contrary to what some may believe, the sheep stay in “time out” more than the kid ever has, which is never, so the sheep may feel they are in an unfair race. 😂
Acres upon acres of lush green hay field and shade trees, pond or city water at your hooves, carefully articulated so you do not have to walk far for a drink of refreshing water on your lips before returning to your grass work. Yet you’d rather venture to a place you were not invited to and eat grass that’s been mowed nearly to the dirt while risking your life. Sound smart? Sheep are not smart. They do typically stick together, but they have to be the absolute dumbest animal we own.

Having animals is like having 1000 kids that do not speak English, still need watching for predators, still do stuff they are not supposed to, and here and there you have the orphans, the dead stock, the sick stock. You feel like you’re buying them feed, hay, trimming feet, or lice treating, or what other problems they may have or may have caused. 🤣😅 When it comes to a bull or a ram, you can’t ever turn your back on them because you never truly know when they might thump you.
