This week’s “Blooming Friday” highlights a very special bloom with a wonderful story behind it: the vibrant safflower.

I received this plant start from my flower friend , who in turn received it from her flower friend — what a delightful chain of garden sharing! It’s such an interesting plant, and I’m so grateful to be the lucky recipient. Thank you both!
