Hard work, cold hands, and a whole lot of pride.
This is what it takes to bring quality seafood from our waters to your table. Every fish that moves down this line has been handled by people who know the value of the catch and the craft behind it. From the dock to the smokehouse, it’s a team effort built on experience, grit, and respect for the process.

We don’t cut corners—we honor tradition, we put in the hours, and we stand behind every product that leaves our doors. This is more than a job… it’s a way of life.

šŸ¤Smoked White King Salmon Jars are Back in Stock! šŸ¤

Not all King Salmon are the same color and that’s where things get interesting.

White King Salmon (also called ivory king salmon) are the same species as traditional, red-fleshed kings—Chinook Salmon, but they have a unique biological trait that affects the color of their flesh.

🧬 It comes down to diet and genetics.
Most king salmon eat crustaceans like shrimp and krill that contain natural pigments called carotenoids (especially astaxanthin). These pigments accumulate in the muscle tissue and give salmon their familiar deep pink to red color.

However, some Chinook salmon carry a recessive genetic trait that prevents their bodies from depositing those pigments in the flesh. Even though they eat the same carotenoid-rich foods as other kings, the pigment is metabolized differently, leaving the flesh a beautiful ivory or white color.

🐟 Same species, same diet, different expression.
White kings are not albino and they’re not a different species. They are simply a natural genetic variation within Chinook salmon populations.

✨ What about flavor?
Many seafood lovers say white king salmon has an even richer, buttery flavor and higher oil content, making it a prized catch among chefs and seafood enthusiasts.

Nature’s diversity shows up even in the ocean—sometimes the rarest fish isn’t red at all.
