The field is just starting to bloom so there's not much to see right now, but there will be more varieties opening daily. Every day's bouquets will look different- you may just have to stop back every couple days to grab a new one! 😊Peonies have one of the shortest bloom windows of almost any flower-about 2 weeks. When they're here, they're here... and then they're gone until next year. 😢

Because peonies don't do well in the heat we will be open for only 2 hrs. at a time this year. Also our hours will change day-to-day to mesh with our household's work schedules. So first-come, first-served at the farm stand. However, you can message us to arrange a bouquet pickup at another time if those hours just don't work for you.🩷

The harvest has begun!

We are not open yet but things are beginning to pop. With the heat predicted this week and next we expect this peony season to be fast and furious.
We will be holding these first peonies in the cooler to be joined by many more. But if you just HAVE to have them today, send me a message and we'll make it happen!🩷

For a real peony treat take a day trip to Oh My Peonies in Marion WI. Just a short 2 hour drive north to this peony paradise. With 2500 plants and over 350 varieties, they are the largest peony farm in WI. Wander row upon row of gorgeous blooms. They open June 1st this year. Look who came for a visit!!! LUNA!🩷🩷🩷

Luna moths are not scientifically considered rare, but they are rare to see. They are fairly common throughout North America, but their extremely short adult lifespan of only 7–10 days, combined with their strictly nocturnal behavior, makes spotting one a lucky event.

For our followers near Oconomowoc we have an opportunity to offer our peonies at Silver Maple Farm. They are just a hop, skip and a jump outside of town, maybe even on your way home. Peony season is very short so we'd probably only be there 2 weekends. We'd like to know if any of you would be interested in stopping by for a bouquet or two. We can do Friday afternoon 4-6 P.M. or a Saturday morning 10-12 P.M., or both. Please let us know in the comments, and make sure to check out their stand for all of their offerings.🩷🩷🩷

Something small and sweet is coming to our roadside this summer.

Silver Maple Farm stand will be opening in a few weeks here in rural Oconomowoc - a simple little stop for flowers, baked goods, garden vegetables, and whatever the season gives us that week.

Some days it may be jars and bouquets. Some days it may be muffins still warm from the oven. Some days it may be a basket of just-picked something out of the garden, gone by afternoon...we'll be sharing all of nature's bounty with you!
