I’m getting ready to place an order for my fall soap fragrances. I’m wondering….which smells are your favorites? It’s hard to believe fall is just around the corner, and this weeks temps are sure reminding me of that. As hard as it is to say goodbye to summer, I do look forward to my favorite time of year!

This is Gunner our almost 2 year old yellow lab. He’s an energetic, smart, adventurous, affectionate, loyal, and joyous companion. He is the perfect dog for our family and farm, he loves to be anywhere we are and happily helps me out with whatever chores I’ve got on my list for the day. I also loves to be at work with me.

His least favorite habit is hu***ng the blankets on Trevor’s bed when he’s not watching….and peeing on any and all outdoor vertical surfaces to say HI to all the other dogs. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve been making my own deodorant for a few years now and each time I play around with the formula and make tweaks to improve it. This is the formula I’ve come up with and shared with a few people who have given me some good reviews. So, I decided to offer it for sale for a trial period of time and see how it goes over with you all.

I have 4 tubes available. They are 3.5oz and $10 each.

NEW SCENT:

🌊SEA SALT & LILY🌊

The first notes you smell are coconut water, pink Himalayan salt, key lime, lotus, rose, and sage leaf, as well as essential oils like lemon and grapefruit. Then bottom notes of orange blossom, magnolia, and jasmine come in.

These are colored with spinach powder which gives a soft and textured green color and are topped with dried calendula flowers.

Bars are $5 each. I will only pull/hold orders that are prepaid (Venmo/PayPal/CashApp) or you can stop by and purchase them up during business hours (Wed/Thurs 10-6). Contact me for a porch pick up or if you would like to stop by for a sniff outside of my salon hours. If you send me a payment, please add your order to the notes, this helps me keep everything by straight. Leave a post in the comments if you plan to send me an order!

Kiwi is a girl!!!! 🩷 Voice sexing is the earliest way to figure out if your ducks are male or female, other than vent sexing when they are freshly hatched, but that can be risky if not done properly. This little pastel call duck has been one of my favorites but she’s been very quiet in the coop, so I haven’t been able to hear her at all. Today I picked her up to see if I could figure it out and to my extreme pleasure, she QUACKED!!!! A drake will have a raspy squawk not a strong loud quack. I think we have at least 5 females. 🐥

Cricket has been on my sh*% list since early spring. She insists on having an entry way into the house by way of a hole in the screen and every time I replace it, she makes a new one. She also climbs the screen if I don’t let her in as soon as she’s at the door. I’ve replaced the screen 8 times!!! We’ve got a barrier on the bottom now that keeps her from pulling the corner out but she still climbs the screen if she has to wait too long to come in or if we’re not home. BUT, today she redeemed herself for at least a few more years!

I have a very strong dislike for snakes. When we first moved here, it was a hatred, but I can proudly say I’ve come a long way from the immediate kill orders that went along with the violent and unsolicited involuntary bodily functions. I walked out into the garage and there were no heart palpitations or instant nausea!! Cricket stretched and yawned and looked at me as if to say “See, mom…you really do want to keep me around!” There wasn’t a gram of remorse in her look, nor was there an apology or promise to stop climbing the screen. Just a smirk to remind me of her incredible value around here. She will be 4 in August and this is the first snake I’ve seen since we got her. It would be ok if she didn’t bring them to show me, I suppose! 🐍 🐈‍⬛ 💪🏻
