Greetings Polish Fire Friends and Family:
A new chapter in this Storied Sauce’s Journey is about to begin…

First an introduction; I’m Tom, the new torch bearer and flame🔥 keeper of Ray’s Polish Fire Products. From my very first Taste at Gates Lodge on the Au Sable River, this sauce spoke to me. I found that the Sauce, Ray, and the Story of where the Sauce has been, had Soul. So, I purchased the business a couple of months ago.

Thank you for your patience as our Sauce Scientists get the production lines ready and we work to get Polish Fire back on the shelves at your favorite retailers. Concurrently, a new website & online ordering platform are in development behind the scenes at our company, NextBatch LLC, located in Kalamazoo, MI.

Finally, I want to give a shout out to the team at Superior Fire; Scott, Graham, Joe, and Val, who passed the torch to me. They have been absolutely great to work with and their commitment to Polish Fire shows through today with their addition of spice blends and expansion of locations selling Polish Fire Products. They really did a great Job!

So, where was your First Taste of Ray’s Polish Fire?

✨Greetings Polish Fire friends and family✨

We are delighted and excited to be sharing the good news that Polish Fire will live on! As of today, all Superior Fire products, including the legendary Ray’s Polish Fire, will be passed onto to the new torchbearer, a native Kalamazooian, Tom, and his company, NextBatch LLC, based in Kalamazoo, MI. In Tom’s words; “I liked it so much I bought the company!”

Tom had been keeping tabs on RPF and watching Superior Fire grow its product line since his first taste while having breakfast canoeing on the Au Sable River with his buddies many years ago. (Shoutout Gates Au Sable Lodge for all the years of having RPF on the tables!).

Tom has a small farm and loves to cook and tinker in the kitchen - from smoking and grilling meats, growing veggies, to whipping up sauces and condiments to accompany delectable entrees - he’s a total Food Head! He also loves the outdoors, especially the UP, and became acquainted with the birthplace of this most special sauce while attending Michigan Tech.

His plans with NextBatch LLC are to carry on and maintain the legacy and tradition of Ray’s Polish Fire with a strict emphasis on quality within all aspects of the process. He anticipates production to begin early December, with deliveries rolling out shortly after.

All members of the Superior Fire team plan to stay in close contact with Tom and offer consult and encouragement throughout the transition process, just like Ray and Viki did for us.

So here we are, and so it seems, some flames cannot be extinguished! 🔥❤️🔥

Dear Polish Fire lovers,

After 7 years of carrying the torch we have made the difficult decision to stop production of all Superior Fire goods, including the cherished Ray’s Polish Fire. Very limited quantity remains - head to your local grocer or polishfire.com to get the last of one of the greatest condiments of all time.

It’s been a great run! Full of creative collaboration, hard work, belly laughs, big learning, and many, many tasty bites. :)

We’re so grateful for all the grocery store and small business partnerships ~ Meeting all the kind and enthusiastic food lovers at the Farmers market ~ Boxing up bottles to ship all over the country, from coast to coast (both salty and fresh)! ~ Thank you for all the love and support!

The desire for the Fire is clearly still strong but we are no longer able to collectively devote the amount of time that this business deserves. So much has happened since 2018! Babies have been born, beloveds have been lost, bouquets have been tossed.. life has rolled on, and we roll with it.

It’s hard to imagine a world of breakfast without Ray’s in it (and all over it). We get excited thinking about someone or some someones out there who will want to pick up the torch and add their own chapter to the pages of the Polish Fire legacy. We’re open to the conversation.

Dear Polish Fire fans of Marquette, MI,

We're bummed to have to share that the Marquette Food Co-op will no longer be carrying our products.

We currently cannot meet the minimums nor bear the decreased margins that come with working with a distributor. The Co-Op will only carry our products if we have a distributor. We're grateful for the support we received from the MFC over the past 15? years as one of our top-selling outlets.

This decision comes after also losing our shelf space at Econo when they were purchased by Tadych's Marketplace Foods Marquette, MI - we've done everything we can to get our products back on their shelves but have had no luck. (send inside tips :) )

Shoutout to Lakeshore Depot for continuing to carry our products! We greatly appreciate your commitment to small and local producers and farmers. Also shoutout to our friends at Oryana Community Co-op and the Keweenaw Co+op Market & Deli for continuing to fan the flames despite our size and capacity. Thank you!
