Spyro the Gyro Once a year, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Kalamazoo, Mi hosts its summer Greek Bake Sale and Luncheon, open to the community.

This annual bake sale and luncheon is a primary fundraiser of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies of Philoptochos Society, a woman's auxiliary of the Church. We're very proud of the long history of this humble little bake sale and the continued support of the community. 'Spyro the Gyro' came out of the church's kitchen in 2015 during the luncheon, in the midst of our "small but mighty" work group as we were putting boxed lunches together for our customers. And like all mascots, he just kind of stuck with us.
