There’s something heartwarming about seeing exactly why it’s worth the extra effort not to use harsh chemicals on your property and farm. 🦋

This Monarch followed me all around the back field Wednesday night, and I thought maybe he was saying goodbye.

But then on Thursday, we found his friends still working their way through the life cycle. Now I think he’s just hanging around, enjoying free time until the rest of them are ready to go south. 🦋🦋🦋

Last year our melons were irresistible, and apparently they were again this year too- based on the flock of wild turkeys wiping out our entire crop of watermelons, honeydew and cantaloupe.
