Juneteenth is the day word of emancipation finally made it to Texas after two years. Truth is black people have never been free. Yes there was freedom from slavery but with limitations to that freedom. Slavery is Mass incarceration. Imprisoning our black siblings and forcing them to work while incarcerated with little to no pay. A school to prison pipeline formed from a heavy police presence in schools located in prominently black neighborhoods.
This Juneteenth as allies let us join together to dismantle the systems that continue to keep our black and brown siblings from true freedom. Defund police. Police out of our schools. Abolish ICE.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances and weather we have loss all of our leafy greens and root vegetables. We will not be at the farmers market until further notice. We are hopeful for a summer harvest of summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and green beans. Stay tuned.. we will be back!
