July is peak fruit season across the USA, making it the perfect time for watermelon, melons, grapes, pineapple, berries, and other colorful fruits. Fruit centerpiece boards continue to be a favorite for summer brunches, BBQs, baby showers, birthdays, and holiday gatherings because they combine beautiful presentation with fresh seasonal flavors.
How to Make It
Wash and thoroughly dry all fruit.
Create the centerpiece by securing a pineapple or melon base on the serving board and inserting a sturdy food-safe skewer into the center.
Thread bunches of green and red grapes onto the skewer, alternating colors to create a full, tree-like display.
Finish the top with a large strawberry.
Slice the watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, and pineapple into even serving pieces.
Fan each fruit into neat sections around the grape centerpiece.
Carve a few strawberries into simple roses by making thin angled cuts around each berry, then place them around the board.
Scatter blackberries and fresh mint leaves between the fruit sections for extra color and texture.
Add small bowls of yogurt or honey-lime dip if desired.
Keep refrigerated until serving and enjoy chilled.
