I can't express enough how thankful I am for the incredible support and community that has surrounded Phyllary Farm since its inception. From the early days of daydreaming to the bustling weekends spent together at the farmer's market, you've all been an integral part of this journey.

Though this chapter may be coming to a close sooner than any of us anticipated, I want to take a moment to cherish the memories we've created, the friendships we've forged, and the blooms that have brightened our days. Your presence here has been the true essence of Phyllary Farm—a community rooted in love, kindness, and a shared appreciation for the beauty of nature.

As I embark on the road to recovery, I carry with me the warmth of your smiles, the echo of your laughter, and the knowledge that the spirit of Phyllary Farm will continue to thrive in the hearts of each and every one of you.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being a part of this journey. Your support has meant more to me than words can express, and I am endlessly grateful for the love and camaraderie you've shown me and this little flower farm.

Wishing you all endless sunshine, abundant blooms, and a lifetime of cherished memories.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Althea

Good Morning Flower Lovers!

The last of the Phyllary Farm blooms have arrived just in time for Mother’s Day! We have a bountiful amount of specialty double tulips that will be hitting the Raven Ridge farm Stand TODAY! 5/9 by 10 O’clock! These are first come first serve until they are all gone. We will have tulip bundles for $25 and specialty daffodils for $10. Venmo to is preferred but you can also pay in cash as well if you leave a little note in the Raven Ridge cash box that it is for flowers.

These blooms have been harvested in the “cracking bud” stage to give you the longest vase life. Tulips are wild creatures that continue to grow and mature while in your vase. While these buds look smaller and green now, in just a few days they will surprise you with their beauty! By Sunday they should be starting to put on a show for the Mother figures in your lives!

Raven Ridge Farm Stand is located at 435 Anderson Ln, Kalispell, MT 59901, and is open from dawn to dusk. You can also shop their fresh veggie, egg, and local mushroom selection as well as snag a few garden starts for you and mom! Truly the BEST one-stop local shop for all the things you need this weekend.

It's with a mix of heavy hearts that I tell you these are the LAST of Phyllary Farm Flowers. As many of you may know, life sometimes throws unexpected twists our way, and unfortunately, I've recently encountered one of those twists. It is very special to me that I am able to close the farm on the heels of sharing more flowers with ya'll.

Please keep supporting your local farms. If you need any flower farm recs please reach out, we have a plethora of amazing growers in the flathead! Thank you all for the support over the years.

Bloom on!

I am overwhelmed and so appreciative. I had no idea how this last minute flash sale would turn out and I had absolutely NO IDEA that I would sell out and sell out so fast. You all showed up for me and for the flowers. I feel this tremendous feeling of being blessed with such a good turn out, and also I have an underlying twinge of dismay because I wasn’t able to get tulips for each and every one of you!
If you did not pre book your bunches via venmo or by texting me directly unfortunately I won’t have any extra for sale tomorrow. BUT FEAR NOT! I have a couple more plantings that will be in bloom over the next few weeks. If you would like to be first to know please email me at [email protected] and I will give you first dibs.
I may not have extra flowers to sell, but I will be in the barn all afternoon and would love to connect. It’s been a while and life has been crazy so if you want to come say hello please do! Also feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns!

With so much gratitude, thank you all for showing up!
Bloom on,
Althea

Before I set out for our winter adventure In the fall I planted thousands of bulbs to kick start what I was sure would be the best year of Phyllary yet. Then as life would have it… I had to put those dreams down due to my injury. ALAS! The flowers have still been growing despite the actions of their caretaker. Their time to bloom is now and I want to make sure they can bring you all happiness one last time!

I will be hosting a Tulip Flash Sale at the farm this Wednesday, April 10th from 2-6! I would love nothing more to see you all again and share flowers with you. I opened this farm with tulips and now (emotionally) I will be shutting the gate for the foreseeable future after this spring’s tulip harvest.

I selected many specialty varieties in dazzling and unique colors that you likely won’t see at any grocery stores. Bunches are available via presale and first come first serve until we run out! I will keep you all posted when we sell out but we have about 100 bunches looking for homes! I will be curating special Farmer’s Dozen wraps for $25 each. Farmer’s dozen bunches are available for presale via venmo . If you do not have venmo you are welcome to shoot me a text to reserve it and you can pay with cash or card! Pick-up will be at the farm (415 Anderson Lane, Kalispell MT 59901) In our flower barn. Head down the driveway and park in the field to your right. I’ll meet you in the barn with large wooden doors. Just like old times :)

See you soon my flathead flower family!

Good Morning Friends!

It has been some time since I have posted an update for ya'll on our life and my recovery. To be honest I haven't felt like sharing because it has been a long, slow, and emotional time that has felt really personal. After three years of "being the business" managing social media for the farm and letting you all into that huge part of my life... it has felt really good to just be a little anonymous as I shift into my next chapter.

That all being said I have had a breakthrough couple of week and want to let you all know that I am on the up and up! Unplanned and in reaction to our situation, we have found ourselves in Bozeman and it is making us both really happy! My friends here have really made me feel loved and supported and I cannot be more thankful to be back in this sweet community. BIG SHOUTOUT to Heidi Buzzetti for opening her home to us and being my rock. This home has been quintessential in healing for body, mind and heart. Love you Heids! Heidi was there on the farm with me that first blusterous year and now I am here with her as the farm transitions out of service... For now...

That brings me to the big farm update. I have decided to close the farm, I won't be in production this summer and potentially for the foreseeable future. Life seems to be giving me a different script and I need to follow it. There are hard feelings around this. Opening Phyllary Farm was one of the hardest and most fulfilling things I have every done. I learned so much, and made so many long lasting connections that I will hold with me forever. I feel so much gratitude to have even been able to the opportunity. As this this next chapter begins I know there will be flowers, agriculture, community and beauty, it will just be in a new and different package.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and the farm and local flowers for the last couple of years. Even though my farm won't be around please please continue to join in the love for local flowers with the other amazing producers in the Flathead Valley. -There are so many Flower CSA options, U-pick operations and farmer florists dedicated to keeping this earth craft alive. Support them 🧡

For my fellow flower farmers- I may have some specific flowery tools/materials I would be happy to pass on to you. I'll be back in the spring to go through all of this please reach out if you are in need of anything specific, we can see if it can work out!

Body update- I am a two shoed wonder as of this week! I am doing lots of PT and mobility training, hobbling through life one day at a time. I've left the knee scooter, walker, crutches and boot behind. It feels amazing to be back on two feet! I still have a long way but progress is defiantly happening. I am walking and working again and it feel so good! I have started in a new position as the produce purchaser for the Bozeman Community Food Co-op. I'm so excited for this new role in the food system.

Life is funny and unexpected and we are just going with it. We are both incredibly thankful for the support we have received from all of you. I don't know if words can properly describe how clutch you all are to getting out of a bad situation. THANK YOU... Big love from us!

Xo

Hello Everybody!

The generosity of our community has left me speechless. Zack and I are truly humbled by the outpouring of kindness from friends, family, and even those w may not have had the pleasure of meeting in person.

To all of you who joined in on Laurie’s Venmo chain and Sabrina's Go Fund Me fundraiser THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Your decision to read, donate, and share my story has not only alleviated many worries but has also reignited my faith in the strength of community and the compassion that exists in the hearts of individuals like yourselves. This has been a powerful reminder that, even in the face of challenges, we are surrounded by a network of caring individuals who are willing to lend a helping hand. I want you to know that this has made a significant impact on my life. This has been the hardest month of my existence. I am being challenged every minute physically, mentally, etc… But I am extremely thankful everyday in this journey that I am not alone.

It is heartening to know that there are people like you who are willing to stand by others during times of need. When I get back on my two feet, I will hop into action for others like you have all done for me. This has been a wake up call.
As I navigate through the path ahead, your support will serve as a guiding light, reminding me that I am not alone in this journey. Your kindness has fueled my determination and reinforced my belief in the goodness that exists in the world. Is this what the Christmas spirit is???

I will make it a priority to keep you updated on the progress of my journey. I am officially two weeks out of surgery! My follow up appointment is set for this Tuesday and I am so excited to get out of limbo and know what the healing process might actually look like! Right now all I know is that I have 4 more weeks of RICE and no weight can be put on my bad leg. More updates to come….

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a beacon of support in our life. This light will stay with me for a lifetime! I am truly blessed to have this community.

Love,
Althea and Zack

We have made it back to Montana in one piece to begin the long recovery process! Navigating through this challenging time has been physically, emotionally and financially draining. My sweet friend Sabrina Lind has set up a GoFundMe page to help us. Having an emergency like this outside of my insurance network is a big hairy mess. Medical costs and loosing the ability to work have placed a considerable burden us. I am not one to ask for this kind of help lightly. Every read and support means the world to me. If you can spare a moment, please check it out and consider sharing. Your kindness is truly appreciated! Thank you from the bottom of my heart especially to everyone who has already donated and sent words of love and support ❤️

Thank you all for a wonderful third season of Phyllary Farm! Growing flowers for this community just keeps getting sweeter with more time.

The farm has been put to sleep for the season and your farmer, her partner and dog are heading south for the winter! We will be back for seeding season but in the meantime I will be taking the winter off to romp, bike and dream for next year. This social media account will be pretty sleepy until we are back.

Thank you all so much for loving these flowers and supporting a dream centered on cultivating meaningful community connections through local flowers. That is where the magic is!

Bloom on and stay warm up there in the north! 🏜️🤘

ODE TO THE MARIGOLD
Embracing October's golden charm Marigolds, with their vibrant hues, hold a special significance this month. They symbolize the beauty of autumn and the warmth of our connections. As we watch the leaves fall and the days grow shorter, let's remember to appreciate the moments that bring light to our lives. Symbolic of light and love this little flower has been used for centuries in celebration!

A Tapestry of Cultural Significance across the globe, these vibrant blooms weave a rich tapestry of meanings. In the Mexican culture, marigolds, known as "Cempasúchil," are an integral part of Dia de los Mu***os, symbolizing the fragility of life and the remembrance of loved ones.

In India, marigolds are associated with celebrations and adornments during festivals like Diwali and weddings, representing positivity and prosperity.

For the ancient Greeks, marigolds were dedicated to the sun god Apollo, radiating the power of healing and protection.

These flowers show that in the language of nature, every culture has its unique dialect, and marigolds speak to us in a universal language of beauty and symbolism. 🌏✨

Fresh marigold bundles, garlands and dried marigolds will be available tomorrow at the indoor harvest market at the flathead County Fairgrounds from 9-3 pm! We will also have fresh bouquets, wreaths, and pumpkins for all your fall decoration needs!
