Eggs are so fun! When I started breeding chickens 12 years ago my goal was a diverse egg basket. I’m still missing a few shades, white to be exact, but that is easy to change 😉

Side note - orpingtons are my LEAST favorite breed and the only reason I keep her is because she’s my daughter’s hen.

My sweetest girl. She looks fully barred but her flight feathers hiding are lavender! She follows me everywhere, always helping me in the garden and always ready for snacks 😂 Dad was an Opal Legbar and mom is an F1 OE. Her mama was my all time favorite hen who passed a couple years back. Im so glad I have her and now her offspring to carry forward her genes.

Summer is off to a full swing - between tending my garden, egg & chicks orders, and my daughter breaking her arm, I can honestly say it’s been a busy one! I know my messenger was messed up there for quite a while but I think the kinks are gone 🎉 Fingers crossed it stays that way! (Pm me if I still need to message you back)

Oh and we added a couple mousers to the farm because we aren’t busy enough 😂
