Domestic and international customers have been requesting specific varieties of soybeans. Global Processing based in Kanawha, IA is always looking for new non-GMO soybean growers who can help meet those customer needs. Since 2009 Global Processing has been paying soy farmers premiums for specialty beans. Most of the specialty beans are used to make products like soymilk, tofu and high value vegetable oil. The company is small but always growing. In addition to the state of the art facility at the Kanawha, IA headquarters, they have a global sales office in Illinois and recently acquired two grain facilities in Nebraska. Global processing is partnering with non-GMO crush and processing facilities in Riceville, IA and Cherokee, IA. There are still grower premium contracts available for the 2022 season.

If you are an experienced soybean grower, please feel free to contact Chad Stannard ([email protected]) or Mike Bieret ([email protected]) to learn more. We look forward to working with you!

Global Processing Salutes USA Farmers

Farmers are vital to Global Processing and we are thankful for the tireless work they do. Even as farmers are wrapping up the 2021 harvest, many are working closely with Global Processing to plan their 2022 crop. Domestic and international customers have been requesting specific varieties of soybeans and other crops, and our farmers are carefully planning how their farm operation can meet those customer needs.
We understand that the farmers who sell their crops to Global Processing go above and beyond to ensure they produce the highest quality possible. Sometimes, it is easy to assume there will always be an ample amount of food, and forget the amount of work and dedication that goes into feeding America. As we gather with friends and family for a Thanksgiving meal, let’s remember to give thanks for farmers.

Global Processing Inc. is proud to launch Epek, an exciting new brand of non-GMO high oleic soybean oil. Epek is available for commercial scale use in the export market, as well as domestically.
High oleic soybean oil is better than regular soybean oil and most other vegetable oils because:.

o High Oleic oil is heart healthy and the FDA authorized the use of a qualified health claim. It is healthier due to a high level of oleic acid, which means it contains monounsaturated fat.
o High oleic soybean oil has a “fry-life” 2-3 times longer than most other vegetable oils used to fry food. In other words, when you would normally have to stop frying and change your oil, high oleic can continue to fry food for at least double the amount of time. This is due to the superior “oxidative stability” of high oleic soybean oil.
o Due to the better fry life, companies only need half as much oil. Not only does it improve operational efficiencies because of the reductions in oil changes and reductions in storage/disposal/handling of the jugs, there is a huge cost savings because companies are reducing the amount of oil they need to buy.
o There is no transfer of flavors when frying with high oleic. In other words you can fry fish and then use the same oil to make French fries and the fries will not have any detectable fish flavor.
